my grandson loves to make this every time he comes for a visit. He's 6 yrs old and has been making this for 2 years now.

So easy to make! I had some chicken pre-mixed spices so used those instead.

relatively easy to make. seasoning got stuck to my hands as i rubbed it on the chicken. aside from that, flavour was decent but not knock your socks off good. used onions cut into quarters instead of tinfoul balls and they were amazing! cooked 5 hrs low, 1 hr high

It was delicious, tender and yes it taste just like a rotisserie chicken! I put it in the oven on broil for 5 minutes and it had a crispy brown skin. I added some lemon pepper before serving.

Great and simple recipe! I tripled the spice amounts and added some rosemary to it as well. Turned out juicy and tasty.

Yummmmm. The chicken was so juicy that after i removed it from the crock, which had an so much liquid in it, after the browning under the broiler, when i inserted the knife to cut the leg from the breast, the amount of liquid that poured out was flabbergasting! instead of of foil balls i used 2 onions i cut in half.

It was delicious. Really juicy, not dried out. The meat was falling off the bone.

Placed on a bed of apples and cooked. No liquid. After the chicken came out I used the juices and mashed apples to make a stock for soup (which happened to be the best stock of my life). Great recipe.

Moist dark meat, dry white. With additional spice and herbs we enjoyed it. Probably won’t make it again without a lot more spices.
With stuffing and peas it was comfort food.

This was the first time I used this site, and FOR A SUNDAY DINNER!! I am STAYING! Dinner was superb, because my 10 year old granddaughter helped me with it. I was in the hospital for Thanksgiving, so this was a special dinner. The chicken was SOOOOO moist and tasty. I didn't have any smoked paprika however, I, had never even heard of it, but I used Penzey's chipotle in place of it, and it was just GRRREEEAT! ( In my Tony the Tigers voice lol) I can't wait to find a good spinach quiche here. Any suggestions anyone? And how does one submit a recipe? I make a mean lamb stew!!
