I used cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage for the meat. My visiting family loved it. My daughter-in-law said that maple brown and serve sausage might be good too. On my list of go-to recipes.

This is delicious, creamy, and still amazing leftover! My husband loved it! It's perfect for the freezing cold winter, and easy since you throw it in the Crock Pot and walk away.
