  • 1 onion (– sliced)
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Louisiana Hot Sauce (to your preference)
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 2 teaspoons mustard powder (you could squirt in some dijon or even yellow if you don’t have powder on hand)
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
