Description

When I use Italian Sausage instead of breakfast sausage, I'll switch out the ketchup for marinara or other jarred spaghetti sauce and add oregano, basil, whatever. Tried a Greek version with lamb and beef and fennel that wasn't bad,

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1/2 cup panko
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • salt (/pepper/herbs/spices of your choosing)

    Directions

    1. let the meats sit for a bit to get warmer or they won't mix well
    2. Combine all ingredients
    3. Form loaf and cook in Slow cooker for 4-6 hours
    4. Optional - Remove from slow cooker and put in 400 degree oven for a few minutes. Top with cheese if you like
    5. Optional - strain slow cooker juices and use to make gravy/sauce

    Ingredients list is missing the ketchup. Mix half a cup with the meatloaf and top it with the other after it cooks. I usually top this with BBQ sauce and cheese if anything.
