Pretty good dish. I had a really hard time getting the sauce to thicken up. I added a bit of cornstarch, but I feel like it gave it a somewhat grainy texture. Will probably make again with a few tweaks.

So tasty! Will make again!

Perfect, used chicken thighs instead of breasts but that was the only change. The whole family loved it! Paired with white rice and steamed vegetables.

Delicious but next time I may marinate it or double the sauce. Will make again.

It was excellent. I added some onions and cashew in the mix. Next time I’ll try with more veggies.

Perfect balance of sweet and spice. Chicken melts in the mouth. Filling and so easy to make!

Doubled the sauce recipe and added more oil in the pan, but otherwise great!
Great! Everyone loved it.

This was a huge hit! Everyone from 5-60 years old had two servings. Sauce was nice and thick.

It was great. The second time I made it I used a little less brown sugar. My kids (age 9 and 13) loved it.

Huge family favorite! I've made this several times and my family loves it. Browning the chicken before adding to the slow cooker is key to getting the crust that is traditional to general tso chicken. The flavors are delicious and the chicken so tender. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Good flavor. I made this using the slow cooker setting on my instant pot. I cooked it for three hours and it sat on the keep warm setting for another hour. Meat wasn’t dried out nor did it have the boiled texture that sometimes happens in the crockpot
It's a good sauce, I didn't find it too sweet. However, the prtion of sauce the recipe creates isn't enough for cooking it in a slowcooker. I made homemade hoisen sauce, maybe that could've been the problem. But I don't think so. The sauce dried too quickly. Good flavor though.
This recipe was amazing! I accidentally cooked too much quinoa for another recipe I was making and decided to pair this recipe with the quinoa. My husband and I both loved the taste and simplicity of the dish. It tastes like we ordered it from a restaurant- making it at home was so much more affordable! I made my own hoisin sauce and reduced the amount of brown sugar that the recipe called for, though. I will definitely be making this again! 😊

incredibly sweet. If i make it again is have to adjust for this. not a bad recipe, but the flavor profile/proportions needs adjustment.
Didn’t end up doing it in the slow cooker just in the pan but was still delicious and the whole family loved it, clean plates all around!
Easy and delicious! Did not change anything.
Way to sweet.. this recipe needs to change its portions. There was not enough sauce (as many others also mentioned in their review) so I made double.

Too sweet for my taste, even with slight sugar reduction- hoisin sauce is already really sweet- I personally don’t think it needs any extra sugar.

This is a wonderful meal. My wife and I loved it.

It was really good! Just might cut down on the sugar a bit next time.
