it needed more juice. my husband had to go buy 2 more french onion soups. other wise we wouldn't have anything to dip or sandwich in. So i suggest buying extra onion soup.

This was so delicious! I decided to switch out the roast for a thin round cut steak instead and just cut it into strips before serving instead of shredding, which I thought was a great idea. Turned out amazing and juicy! There was a lot of leftover juices from the sandwiches also. If you’re trying to stretch it, This recipe can make 6 sandwich rolls (that are kinda skimpy on the meat). So if you love meat or are a big eater I would go with the recommended 4.

This was very yummy and super easy. I added a red onion and four cloves of garlic as well. It did have a little too much of the canned soup flavor but I would definitely make it again.

The meat turned out tender and juicy; I will definitely make again. I made a horseradish mayo to accompany the sandwiches, which added the perfect amount of flavor without overpowering the dish.

This was easy and delish. I used Elk roasts and had to make my own soup and consommé. I added mine to the instant pot for 2 hours and it worked beautifully everyone loves it.

Decided to try to find a beef dip recipe after having a flavourless beef dip at a pub. This recipe was very easy to make and turned out great. Our first sandwiches were good, but was missing a little something. So on our second sandwiches I added to the bun Dijon mustard and after baking French's Deep Fried Onions - just what it needed. Perfect for a quick Friday night dinner when all you want to do is relax after the work week.

This was so easy and the family loved it. Thickening up the jus would be good as well as adding some seasonings. I tossed a bunch of Lawry's on the meat when I started it.
