Cooked last week in the slow cooker and 3 young kids loved it although I would take the chilli out next time and I don’t think you’d loose much taste wise.
It was good everyone ate it.... very tender, just got dry after shredding it but o well. Next time I will put it back in the crockpot with the juice instead of putting it on the plate

The meat was juicy and flavorful!
I actually used lean pork loin and cut the recipe in half. Even though it may have been a little better with a different cut of meat, it was tender and flavorful and probably healthier! Glad to have another dish that’s easy to make and tasty!
Delish! I made the recipe with exact measurements and didnt modify a thing.... turned out great and my 18 year old stepaon who normally doesn't eat anything i cook, was scarfing it down.😋
This was sooo good. Just the right spices and tenderness. Also made the cilantro lime rice. Will have leftovers making tacos.

This came out so good! I cooked it in the oven instead. I browned it first then cooked it at 250°F for about 7 hours. Yum!
It can use a bit more flavor had to add quite a bit of salt after cooking and shredding, but overall it came out nice.

Flavorful! We enjoyed it with cilantro lime rice and black beans. Goes great in a taco too.

Delicious. Are with rice and shedded Brussels sprouts. Juices from the crock pot poured over everything made it spot on.

This was definitely not as flavorful as I expected, just as a couple other posters stated. The jus from the pan was awesome as far as flavor, but the pork itself didn't have that same flavor. I'm wondering if browning it and rendering some of the fat first might help. Also, making a rub before adding the oil and juice, maybe? I bet you could make a rub out of the dry ingredients, the *crushed* garlic, and maybe some orange zest and lime zest. That would be good. Let it marinate for a little bit, then brown the pork with the rub/marinade. Then throw it into the slow cooker. And maybe even finish just the pork off in the broiler if you want a crust. I don't know, just some ideas. :)

Such a delicious and easy dish. I am generous with the spices and always add a bit extra juice. The pork is tender and juicy, goes perfect with cilantro lime rice.

So delicious! Replaced the orange juice with red wine and little sugar substitute because I can't do sugar. Came out tender and juicy!

Although this was okay I'll be honest and say it's not Cuban style. We don't generally use cumin. We use adobo. Cumin, that's more of a Mexican go to spice; and red pepper flakes? Yeah no go on that too. If you're looking for spice we use scotch peppers,,, habanero's or something along that line . I noticed a few of you noticed it wasn't flavorful. We use way more veggies than listed. Zoom them up in a blender and allow the meat to marinate over night. It's called sofrito. I'm not trying to be a negative Nan, but this is a slow cooker pork. Not Cuban at all.

Not flavourful as I expected, but very moist and still enjoyable. I would definitely make sure that you have flavourful sides. The leftovers tasted better than the initial meal.

I was disappointed in this meal. My expectations might have been too high. The prep was right up my alley- simple. The combination of spices was intriguing, and the smell that greeted me when I got home was enticing. Then I tried it. I felt it was dry, which was surprising since it has been sitting in juice all day. I also felt it was low on flavor. I'm not giving up on this meal though. Next time I'm going to try marinating it overnight to see what effect that has. So it's 3 stars now, but might get upgraded soon. To be continued. . .
