Liquid. Needs liquid. Without it, the cabbage burns anywhere it touches the cooker and the potatoes stay firm. Second time I made it, I added 1 cup of chicken broth and that made a huge difference. I also added the sausage when there were only 2 hours left to keep it from getting too squishy.
