A braised ribs recipe using canned tomato soup (because that's what I had)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 4 pounds pork ribs (bone-in, about 6 or so)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 dash allspice
  • 3 leaves fresh sage (thinly sliced)

    Directions

    1. Combine salt, sugar and spices & sprinkle on all sides of the pork.
    2. Slice onion thinly & arrange in bottom of slow cooker.
    3. Brown pork on all sides over medium heat & layer over onions in slow cooker.
    4. Combine remaining ingredients except sage until smooth & pour over pork. Sprinkle sage over top.
    5. Cook on medium setting at least 4 hrs or until meat is fork tender & falling off bone
