Really good roast beef. I did use beef broth since I didn’t have chicken.

A keeper! Family enjoyed this. I used real wine not cooking wine and I added an onion.

It takes some time to prep before getting everything in the slow cooker, especially getting the wine to cook down, so be prepared for that. The two times I made this, I spent close to an hour on prep. I also made sure to cook the bacon extra crispy. It softens as it cooks in the slow cooker, but you’ll get the caramelized bits of bacon coming through when it’s done. I’m definitely keeping this in my slow cooker repertoire!

I didn’t not like it at all. Threw it out. The sauce was a bit sour. I do not think its a good taste with meat. And For some reason my meat let out a lot of juice while frying up so I added that to a slow cooker and while cooking it released even more. Recipe did not say anything about what to do if that happens. At the end of all- the meat turned out dry. Even after cooking in its own juice. I am lost on how this all happened. Maybe my meat wasn’t good. Will not be making it again just because i do not like sour sauce.

I actually did not love the flavor of the sauce. It sounded so good but the red wine with the soy sauce and the bacon just didn't turn out to be very tasty to me. To each his own.

Very tasty and rewarding at the end, but it was a bit of work to prep but worth it! I used a delicious Malbec and added in some Worcestershire sauce into the sauce and 2 bay leaves!

My house smelled amazing while cooking this. I started it aafterI got off work as has wanted to eat some for dinner so I used a roasting pan. The meat was a little tough so i added it back into a crock pot and let it continue to cook over night on low. Perfecto! Low and slow always do the trick!

Excellent! I used red wine also because I believe if it’s not good enough too drink it’s not good enough too cook with. Also I used a Dutch oven instead of crock pot at 275* for 3.5 hours. Very good recipe!

This turned out great! I didn’t modify anything!

Good overall dish. Adjusted the seasonings for less salt in the chicken broth and the bacon. The prep time was longer if you are following the directions. It’s more like 45 minutes and not 20.

It was really good! Maybe a little too much thyme, but overall it was delicious.

So yummy! I added some capsicum to the slow cooker. Added rosemary salt and lots of pepper to the beef before browning it. Also added 2 bay leaves. This was absolutely a winner.
