So yummy! I added some capsicum to the slow cooker. Added rosemary salt and lots of pepper to the beef before browning it. Also added 2 bay leaves. This was absolutely a winner.

That was absolutely delicious

Fantastic. Searing the beef chunks I think is key to keeping in the moisture. Also.. I have had trouble with slow cooker beef chunks not drying out so I got the chunk strips instead of the packaged cubes.! I think that was a difference maker. Meal was great!

This will be the 3rd time. it is great.

I've had better beef stews. Suggest to put thyme in to taste 2 tbsp way too much!!

This was edible but we wont make it again. the tomatoes with beef made it acidic and gave it a tanginess that i dont like with stew. I tried this for something new but will go back to my old beef stew recipe.

It was tender and it had flavor, but my family wasn't too thrilled. Not bad, but I think I will skip making it again.

Yum...I would make again. I used cab red wine and added 1/4 cup more than directed and added 10 pearl onions

Ended up a little overcooked but i think thats my slow cooker being to hot on low

Delish. I used a Syrah for the wine. I also quartered the mushrooms. Great flavor. I wouldn't change a thing and will make it again! It was a big hit with everyone!

Awesome. Perfect with a glass of red and fresh bread on a cold night.

Absolutely delicious, but quite salty. I didn't salt the meat, so the bacon must have added a lot more salt than anticipated. Used portobello mushrooms instead of button mushrooms. Will make again, probably with half the bacon to reduce the saltiness.

So flavorful! Usually my slow cooker recipes aren’t great but this was perfect! Will definitely make this again :-)

Turned out pretty well. I used ground beef instead and still tasted good.

Easy to do, set and forget, Didn’t change anything from the recipe and it was a winner with the family. Will cook this again

Delicious- meat was super tender. My daughter whom does not like stew said it was the best stew yet!👍🏻

Turned out great. I cooked it for 6.5 hrs on high and the meat was tender and perfect. I added some Worcestershire Sauce and a few bay leaves at the start, and served over homemade Yorkshire puddings (a little unconventional, maybe, but a delicious combo).

Delicious, was precisely what you would want out of a beef stew. Thick, rich and tender. Do-over for sure!

This is a great meal for dinner in the middle of winter. The preparation was easy and the slow cooker did the rest of the work.

Delicious! Its the bomb! Made it last week and i'm making it for tonight. Its a little on the salty side because of the bacon and Soy Sauce, I will take Steph"s advice and take the bacon out next time. Love, Love, Love this.

Yes, yes, yes! This is so warm and comforting. The broth with the bacon and wine tasted so rich and flavorful. It did take awhile to chop up and prep all the veggies but the end result is completely worth it.

I have never used cooking wine for beef stews, but after trying this recipe...I won't leave it out. The wine adds so much richness to the meat and broth. I did leave the bacon out to control the saltiness, I didn't miss it. Will definitely be using this recipe again and again.
