This recipe turned out so well! I did make a couple of changes in it. I did not add the lemon juice because I was out and I added ham pieces instead of a ham bone. I also added a couple of bay leaves that I removed after cooking. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Great recipe and easy. I'm a transplanted Yankee living in Virginia, my daughter's boyfriend, a Southerner said it was the best bean soup he ever had and took all the leftovers home.
