I'm a big homemade baked bean fan, but I don't like the prep to take too much time. The best thing about this is that you can throw everything in the slow cooker and you're finished. The taste is great. I found that letting the beans soak overnight gives them even more flavor as they soak up more of the sauce around them while cooking and simmering in the slow cooker all day. These make a great side for a picnic, summer party, or a laid back dinner.
