Excellent side for a week night dinner, or any dinner. I used cleaned and trimmed french green beans to make it even easier. I followed the recipe exactly and even the green bean hating kid (technically an adult now) loved them! I have rheumatoid so anything that is easy on my hands is always a plus. I paired it with a red wine braised shirt ribs recipe. It was all quite delicious.

I put a little too much water in it, but I was able to steam the beans longer and make them softer.

It was good. I like fresh green beans and red pepper flakes and olive oil and garlic, so hard to go too wrong with this. My only suggestion would be partially sautéing the garlic before tossing in the green beans. Just be careful not to let the garlic burn.
