This bread is delicious! I adjusted to 16 servings instead of 20 and I think accidentally added too much water- dough was extremely tacky and sticky and spread out but not up on the rise, but it plumped up and baked great in the oven! I mixed and kneaded by hand and it still ended up with a nice soft texture in the middle and a crust with just a hint of crunch. Also used cold water and just let the dough rise an extra 10-15 minutes to bring out the flavor. Excellent bread.

It was really good my whole family approved and make it more than once

Surprisingly good, but should probably call for 2 1/4 water, I’ve tried several times to only use 2 cups and I always end up using more water. Additionally, the bread comes out much more crusty if you preheat to 450

Great taste, I had cut recipe in half but added to much water so kneaded it with more flour. It still turned out good and raised well.

Extremely simple recipe, I only make half a batch and it always comes out delicious. Definitely recommend if you want fresh bread, but don't want to be in the kitchen all day. If you are making this as vegan bread, make sure you buy flour that has not been enriched.

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Very easy to make; the bread is comparable to "bolillo" which is traditionally Mexican bread that looks and tastes like baguette. Excellent for ham sandwiches called Tortas. Thank you for sharing....

This bread came out wonderfully! Just mix, knead, wait, bake, and eat. The bread flour gives it a better texture than using all-purpose flour.
