Description

A traditional cake, this bundt cake is made with egg whites and margarine just like grandma would. Sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar before baking, each bite of cake bursts with flavor and moisture.

Ingredients

  • 8 egg whites
  • fine salt
  • 250 grams flour
  • 100 grams margarine
  • 250 grams sugar
  • sugar (for sprinkling)
  • cinnamon (for sprinkling)

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2Grease a bundt pan with butter, and sprinkle with flour. Set aside.
  3. 3Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until firm. Set aside.
  4. 4Slightly soften the margarine in a microwave (not required if it is at room temperature), and beat together with sugar until creamy. To this mixture, add the flour and egg whites, little by little and without beating. Mix well, from the bottom up, until the batter is completely smooth and homogeneous.
  5. 5Place the dough in the cake pan, and sprinkle with white sugar and cinnamon to taste.
  6. 6Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Check cooking with a toothpick.
  7. 7Remove from oven, unmold, and let cool.
