Description

Every mouthful of this dish is packed with spice and flavor. The tender ground meat compliments the mozzarella cheese beautifully, while the chopped onions add a great texture to the dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onions (peeled and diced)
  • 200 grams ground meat
  • 3 tablespoons tomato purée
  • 150 grams rice
  • chicken broth
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • mozzarella cheese (cubed)
  • 1 eggs (beaten)
  • bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Add the oil to a large skillet on medium heat. Add the onion and saute for 5 minutes. Once golden brown, add the ground meat and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the tomato and rice and stir. Cook for 5 minutes,.
  3. After a few minutes, add the broth and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the rice is done.
  4. Add the mixture to a baking sheet to cool.
  5. Place a layer of the rice mixture on your palm and place a cube of cheese in the middle.
  6. Add some rice on top and close the rice ball.
  7. Cover each rice ball with the egg and breadcrumbs.
  8. Fry in plenty of oil and serve warm.
