Shrimp and Cream Cheese Deviled Eggs

Description

A unique twist on traditional deviled eggs, this recipe draws inspiration from India and the sea. Cream cheese, curry, and shrimp come together elegantly in this beloved appetizer. Gluten free.

Ingredients

12 eggs
3 tablespoons olive oil
200 grams prawns (small, if frozen, thaw completely)
salt (to taste)
1 tablespoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon curry powder
garlic powder (to taste)
3/4 package Philadelphia Cream Cheese
parsley (to taste)

Directions

1In a saucepan, bring the eggs to a boil in a large amount of salted water. Cook for 12 minutes after the water starts boiling.
2Remove the eggs from the heat, and let cool.
3In a frying pan, on medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. When the olive oil is hot, add the well drained shrimp, and season with a pinch of salt, paprika, curry, and garlic powder. Cook for 10 minutes until browned. Remove from heat, and set aside.
4Peel the eggs and cut them in halves lengthwise.
5Remove the yolks and place in a bowl, and place the egg whites in a tray.
6In the bowl with the egg yolks, add the shrimp, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, cream cheese, and parsley to taste. Mix everything well to form a pate-type paste. Fill the egg whites with this paste. Serve hot or cold.
