Shrimp Skewers with Lime and Garlic

Description

This recipe screams summer al fresco dining! Tender shrimp is seasoned with garlic and lime then cooked on skewers for a simple and delicious dish. These can be eaten as is, right off the skewer, or you can add them to a pasta dish or salad for something a little more filling. The grill will give them a little smoky flavor, then finish them with another squeeze of lime juice for a simple, bold meal.

Ingredients

  • 16 shrimp (large raw)
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 lime
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 2 pinches curry
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • fleur de sel

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients except the Fleur de sel in a salad bowl and mix. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Put 4 shrimp on each skewer and grill them quickly on a barbecue. As soon as the shrimp are pink, they are cooked and you can turn them over.
  2. Sprinkle with fleur de sel and serve with basmati rice.
