Bite sized hors d’oeuvre spicy, salty, protein packed shrimp tartlets for the exquisite dinner party or summertime luncheon. Old fashioned oats, wheat bran, and protein powder combine and form a dense rustic tasting dough. Boiled with pungent Moroccan spice blend, sweet cream cheese, milk, and an egg, the shrimp fully absorbs the powerful flavors. Baking the final product hardens the crunchy dough around the succulent shrimp. Break the baked shrimp up and serve as a pre-appetizer dish.

  • 2 tablespoons old fashioned oats
  • 1 tablespoon wheat bran
  • 2 tablespoons protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 5 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 bag shrimp (small)
  • Moroccan spice blend

  1. Boil the shrimp with the spices and add the other ingredients.
  2. Mix well
  3. Spread the mixture out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake until golden brown.
