  • 1 green bell pepper (small, chopped)
  • 1 onion (small, chopped)
  • 1 jalapeno pepper (finely chopped)

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

    Directions

    1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the oil; mix well.
    2. In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking. Drop teaspoonfuls of batter into the oil and fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden on all sides.
    3. Drain on a paper towel-lined platter and keep warm in a warm oven. Repeat with remaining batter.
