Buttery, twisted, dinner rolls with a sundried tomato and cream cheese filling. Each roll is only 100 calories. Children and adults will love this baked surprise. Serve warm and break open to reveal a steamy, soft center oozing with animated sundried tomatoes intertwined with a soft, creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 15 grams dry yeast
  • milk (15 cl. warm)
  • 250 grams flour
  • 20 grams icing sugar
  • 5 grams salt
  • 40 grams olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sundried tomato pesto
  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 100 grams cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sundried tomato pesto

Directions

  1. In the electric mixer bowl combine the yeast with the milk.
  2. Add flour, powdered sugar, salt, and olive oil.
  3. Knead for 7-8 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let rise for 40 minutes.
  5. Place the dough on a floured surface, roll out to form a rectangle (not too thin).
  6. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and the sundried tomato pesto.
  7. Spread the dough this mixture and then roll the dough, lengthwise.
  8. Cut 2/3 cm slices and arrange them on a round cake pan lined with parchment paper.
  9. Let rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius
  11. Bake for 15 minutes.
  12. Serve warm.

We love rolls at our house. I especially love the flavor that the sundried tomatoes gave to these otherwise plain rolls. I couldn't get enough of them. They really were palate pleasing.
