  • pizza dough
  • cooked ham
  • cheese (Smoked provola)
  • grated parmesan cheese


  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. Roll the pizza dough into a rectangle and top it with the ham and cheese slices and with the grated parmesan cheese (or use any type of filling you wish).
  3. Roll up the dough from the longest side and cut it into 2 centimeter wide slices.
  4. Place the slices on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and bake for approximately 25 minutes.
  5. Serve warm.

We use whole wheat dough. I suggest brushing both sides of the spirals with extra light olive oil to crisp them up a touch. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt as well for seasoning. If I am really feeling fancy, I add a little oregano and basil seasoning on both sides too. My children really love these. We make them for after school snacks or a quick lunch.
