Description

Strudel need not be reserved for special occasions. When made with frozen puff pastry dough, it can be on the table in under an hour, and you can improvise on the fillings. Here, the pastry dough is simply layered with an egg that's lightly beaten and mixed with two types of cheese (montasio and parmesan) and then pancetta slices. Serve, cut into slices, as an appetizer or as part of a light dinner, with a green salad alongside.
