Description

Liver pate may not be an obvious ingredient in making dough, but here it lends subtle flavor to these savory biscuits that are also seasoned with grated Parmesan cheese and have a kick of heat from chili powder. The pate (and egg) also makes them more tender. While they are exceptional when still hot, they are also good at room temperature, and will keep for a few days in an airtight container. Bake a big batch and serve with cocktails.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 eggs
  • 80 grams butter
  • 80 grams parmesan cheese (grated)
  • liver pate
  • 2 teaspoons artichokes
  • almond flour
  • chili powder
  • salt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Mix the all-purpose flour with the egg, butter, cheese, pate, and a pinch each of almond flour, chili powder, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough and cut out biscuit shapes with a cookie cutter.
  4. Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake for 13 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve hot or cold.
