Simple and delicious. Instead of putting them in a microwave I steamed them in a steaming pot until they were soft (same concept as microwave). I had never steamed green beans before sautéing them, gave them the perfect consistency. Added lots of garlic because we are garlic lovers :). Perfect!

I used green beans from my garden. I wasn’t sure how much 4 cups of beans were but I winged it. They turned out great but I think I would add a bit more garlic. Also the recipe didn’t mention to drain the beans after microwaving them, but I did anyway. That was a good move.

This is a winner! It's become my favourite vegetable dish. My variations: I chop the garlic first, and then pre-steam the beans to the point at which they are still crunchy, and then sauté them in the salted olive oil and butter. Absolutely delicious
