Ingredients

  • 450 grams ricotta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1/4 vanilla bean seeds (scraped and set aside)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa (bittersweet)
  • 1 butter
  • 1 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170C.
  2. Beat the eggs with the sugar for 3 minutes with an electric mixer.
  3. Incorporate the ricotta cheese completely, add the vanilla seeds and the flour and continue mixing.
  4. Butter a square cake pan measuring approximately 20 x 20 centimeters and then coat it with the breadcrumbs, eliminate any excess.
  5. Pour 2/3 of the mixture into the cake pan and add the cocoa to the remaining mixture, stirring well.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture on top of the plain mixture and use a fork to make the swirls in the two mixtures.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the pan from the oven, let cool completely, cut into squares and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
