Ingredients

  • 120 grams flour
  • 80 grams whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 80 grams raw sugar
  • 70 milliliters beer
  • 50 milliliters vegetable oil

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. 2Combine the two types of flour, the baking soda, and the sugar.
  3. 3Add the red beer and the oil to the dry ingredients.
  4. 4Knead until the dough is smooth and uniform in consistency.
  5. 5Shape the dough into a ball, cover it in plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes.
  6. 6Cut the dough into 20 pieces, shape each piece into a link, bring the two ends of the links together and seal them closed into the shape of a ring.
  7. 7Coat each ring in raw sugar.
  8. 8Place the rings on a wax paper lined baking sheet and bake for approximately 15 minutes.
  9. 9Remove the cookies from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
