  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 onions (medium, chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 19 ounces red kidney beans (19 oz., rinsed and drained)
  • 1 jar (1 lb. 8 oz.) Ragu® Old World Style® Pasta Sauce (1 lb. 8 oz.)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 4 oz)

    Directions

    1. Brown ground beef with onion and chili powder in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and Ragu® Old World Style® Pasta Sauce.
    2. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes. Top with cheese. Serve, if desired, over hot cooked rice or with tortilla chips.

    Very easy to make and delicious with Ritz crackers or potato chips! I did not have a can of tomatoes in my pantry, but this recipe solved my problem without having to go to the grocery store. Thank you!
