It turned out good. Would make a nice taco meat as well. I tweaked it with what I had on hand a bit (didn’t have canned black beans so used Progresso black bean soup drained haha). We liked it and would make again.

My kids went for 2nds, so I’d say it’s a keeper. I omitted the pickled jalapeños.
Easy to make and leave to cook a lot of liquid leftover depending on how much water you put in

Delicious and very easy to make! I just added a teaspoon of hot pimento paste for a little more flavour and it turned out perfect my picky 9 and 5 year old girls devoured it my husband wants me to make this every week. Thanks for sharing!

Followed the recipe exactly and it came out delicious!!! One of my new favorites!!! Only mistake is that the directions for when to add the spices was left out. I added them right after adding garlic.
