  • 3 quinces
  • lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 100 grams flour
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 360°F.
  2. Rinse and peel the quinces. Quarter and thinly slice. Sprinkle with a few drops of lemon juice. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger, and mix well. Place this mixture on the bottom of a glass baking dish.
  3. To make the crumble, combine the flour, 50 grams of sugar, cold butter (cut into cubes), and 1/2 teaspoon of ginger. Mix with your hands until crumbly. Cover the quinces with this mixture, and bake for about 25 minutes until golden.
  4. Serve warm, plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
