Tender meatballs just like your Italian grandma would make, in a fraction of the time. A simple mix of ground beef, seasonings, and Parmesan cheese form these meatballs that get baked in the oven before taking a quick simmer in your favorite marinara sauce.

  • 2 pounds 85% lean ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 ounces grated Parmesan cheese (2 oz. is about 2/3 cup, for meatballs)
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons salt
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz. per jar)
  • grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
  • fresh basil leaves (optional, for serving)

Very easy to make. I would recommend a little less salt. They were also very greasy, but I was using 80/20, so maybe that's on me.

Turned out the absolute best. Genuinely easy to make (I'm a sluggish cook, so, I stumble over minimal challenges, but not this time). My family set a world record in gulping down a bowl of tagliatelle with the meatballs and sauce 😄 We're all very happy with the result. This recipe is a keeper.
