Description
Thanksgiving dinner is a cinch with this quick and easy turkey recipe. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.

- 1 whole turkey (11-14 lb., giblets removed, patted dry)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- black pepper (to taste)
- 2 Tbsp. butter (softened)
- 2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 head garlic
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 onion
- 1 handful fresh parsley
- 1/2 bunch fresh thyme
- 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 cups chicken broth (plus more as needed)

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Adjust a rack to the lowest position in the oven.
- Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil and position a roasting rack inside of it.
- Liberally season the turkey with the salt and black pepper, taking care to season the outside as well as the internal cavity. Set the turkey breast side up onto the roasting rack and tuck the wing tips underneath the body.

This was the best turkey I’ve ever cooked. It was so moist it fell off the bones, and it was delicious

I followed the recipe to a tee and this was, by far, the best turkey I’ve ever had!
I’m also VERY kitchen illiterate, so the fact that this recipe was easy to follow was a huge plus!
I’m about to go shopping for the ingredients to make this delicious turkey again, this year, and I just figured I’dleave a comment.
