Description

Simple ingredients make for a delicious cake with minimal effort. Flavored with lightly with orange zest and sprinkled with sugar, this cake has a lovely moist texture and a slight crunch on the top. A great cake for company.

Ingredients

3 eggs
225 grams sugar
150 grams margarine
200 grams double cream
300 grams flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 orange (optional)
sugar (to taste)

Directions

1Preheat oven to 180. degrees Celsius.
2Grease a small round pie tin with margarine and sprinkle it with flour. Set it aside.
3Combine the eggs, sugar and orange zest in a mixing bowl and set to temperature 37, speed 4.
4Add butter and cream and whip at level.
55 for 1 minute.
6Finally add the flour and baking powder and mix for a few seconds at speed 3.
7Check if the dough is homogeneous.
8Pour the dough into the pan and sprinkle with sugar abundantly.
9Place in the oven and cook for about 30 minutes.
10Check the cooking, remove from the oven, wait a few minutes and unmold carefully not to break much of the cover.
