  • 1/3 cup ghee (or grass fed butter)
  • 8 cups onions (sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon cassava flour
  • 6 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 cup red wine (optional)
  • 12 crisps (parmesan cheese, I used these from Costco but I did see recipes to make your own! Cello-Whisps-Parmesan-Cheese-Crisps)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (Mozza or Monterey Jack, or whatever makes you happy)
