Description

This delicious cake gets its flavor from praline. The sugar and nut candy is melted down then mixed into the cake batter for an especially moist and flavorful dessert. This recipe is super simple to make, and comes together in about an hour. A dusting of powdered sugar once the cake is cool adds a nice finish before serving. A spoonful of whipped cream would also be a nice addition to this delicious dessert.

Ingredients

170 grams yogurt
340 grams sugar
170 grams melted butter
510 grams flour
3 eggs
1 praline (pralinoise or dessert, square)
1 teaspoon baking powder
powdered sugar

Directions

1Preheat oven to 425 degrees Farenheit.
2Pour the yogurt in a bowl to use the empty container as a measuring tool for the other ingredients.
3Break the praline bar into pieces and melt in a double boiler.
4In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until the mixture whitens.
5Add the yogurt and butter and mix again.
6Add flour gradually, then the baking powder.
7Finally, when the praline is melted, add it to the paste, and mix.
8Pour the batter into a buttered mold, and bake for about 40 minutes. Let the cake cool before unmolding.
9Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
