A hearty casserole that combines everything about your favorite side dishes into one main entree. Made with potatoes, broccoli, ham, bacon, and melty mozzarella, this dish is melty and savory and sure to fill you up.

Ingredients

  • potatoes (for boiling, depends on the size, but enough for 4 people)
  • 1 package frozen broccoli
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 can sausages (8 Vienna)
  • 1/2 piece bacon
  • 5 slices ham
  • 150 grams mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into thin slices and cook in salted water together with the eggs.
  2. When the potatoes are half done, add the broccoli, and cook everything together.
  3. Meanwhile, cut the bacon and the ham into very thin strips.
  4. Cut the sausages into slices, and set all the meat aside.
  5. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  6. Drain the potatoes and the broccoli, and place them in an ovenproof container.
  7. Drizzle with a little olive oil.
  8. Spread the meat on top, and cover with the eggs cut into slices.
  9. Cover the tray completely with the cheese, and bake for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts. Then, turn the grill on so that the cheese browns a bit.

This is a great recipe that combines the meat and the sides into one dish. It makes for a complete dinner, and is a very hearty meal. If you cut out the broccoli, this can even make a great breakfast style dish as well. Everyone enjoys this whatever time of the day it is.
