Description

This savory potato gratin differentiates itself in the addition of ham and hard boiled eggs for added protein, a complete meal in one casserole dish. Gluten free and easily vegetarian with the omission of the ham, you can also substitute or add your favorite veggie for additional flavor.

Ingredients

  • 6 potatoes
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 slices cheese (Flemish)
  • mozzarella cheese
  • mayonnaise

Directions

  1. 1Peel and cut the potatoes in cubes.
  2. 2Boil potatoes and eggs in a pot of salted water.
  3. 3Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  4. 4Place a few slices of butter on the bottom of a baking pan.
  5. 5Break ham and cheese in pieces, and set aside.
  6. 6Once cooked, drain the potatoes and peel the eggs.
  7. 7Spread the potatoes in the pan.
  8. 8Cover the potatoes with ham and cheese.
  9. 9Slice the eggs, and place them on top, and spread mayonnaise on them.
  10. 10Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and bake until golden.
