Ingredients

  • 18 prawns (deshelled and cleaned)
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (or peri-peri)
  • 5 bay leaves
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

  1. 1Peel and garlic cloves and cut into small pieces.
  2. 2Cut bay leaf also into small pieces.
  3. 3In a bowl , make a paste with : olive oil , lemon juice, garlic , pieces of bay leaf, spices , salt and pepper.
  4. 4Add prawns and leave marinate for 1 hour into the fridge.
  5. 5Heat the griddle over high heat then reduce heat .
  6. 6Place the prawns on the griddle, cook for a few minutes and then return them to the spatula and cook while stirring regularly.
  7. 7Serve hot with rice and crusty bread.
