Portuguese Grilled Prawns

- 18 prawns (deshelled and cleaned)
- 1 lemon
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (or peri-peri)
- 5 bay leaves
- salt
- pepper
Directions
- 1Peel and garlic cloves and cut into small pieces.
- 2Cut bay leaf also into small pieces.
- 3In a bowl , make a paste with : olive oil , lemon juice, garlic , pieces of bay leaf, spices , salt and pepper.
- 4Add prawns and leave marinate for 1 hour into the fridge.
- 5Heat the griddle over high heat then reduce heat .
- 6Place the prawns on the griddle, cook for a few minutes and then return them to the spatula and cook while stirring regularly.
- 7Serve hot with rice and crusty bread.
