This is yummy! I made some changes to the recipe: I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs, added 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of oregano, fresh garlic, white wine & a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon. I didn't have apple juice so I used pineapple juice instead. My husband doesn't like cucumbers so I skipped the slaw & added pablano peppers, red onion, fresh mushrooms & pineapple to the chicken while it was cooking. It was done after about 5 - 5 1/2 hours on low. Will make this again for sure!
