Description

Tender pork ribs are glazed with a bold and sticky barbecue sauce. While the ribs go through their first cooking, the delicious sauce comes together easily with a variety of flavorful ingredients, including rum, soy sauce, and garlic. An overnight dip in the sauce makes sure these ribs are packed with all the flavors of the sauce. These are great for game day, summer grilling, or just a weekend dinner when you are craving something decadent.

Ingredients

  • 1.8 kilograms pork ribs
  • 50 milliliters rum
  • 50 grams ketchup
  • 50 grams worchestershire
  • 50 milliliters soy sauce
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves (smashed)
  • chili powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the ribs into portions (every two bones) and place them in a baking dish.
  3. Cook for 45 minutes.
  4. Mix all the marinade ingredients: rum, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and a pinch of chili powder.
  5. Drain the fat from the ribs and put them in a dish with the marinade.
  6. Marinate the meat for at least 2 hours or ideally, overnight.
  7. Take the ribs out of the marinade:
  8. Cook on the barbecue (or in the oven at 400 F for 20 minutes), basting regularly with the marinade.
  9. Serve with mashed potatoes or corn on the cob.
