Description

This popcorn chicken may look like any other popcorn chicken, but under that crispy golden crust is a surprising flavor. Before being cooked, the chicken is marinated in a mixture of soy sauce and orange juice. This mixture imparts a ton of flavor onto the chicken that makes for a bold bite. These little chicken bites are great for kids to snack on or to set out at a gathering. You can make a simple dipping sauce to serve with them if you like.

Ingredients

  • 50 milliliters soy sauce
  • 50 milliliters orange juice
  • 8 chicken breasts
  • salt
  • 1 eggs
  • bread crumbs
  • vegetable oil

Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, thoroughly mix the soy sauce and orange juice.
  2. 2Add the chicken pieces to the mixture and add a pinch of salt.

  4. 4Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and strain.
  5. 5Coat the chicken by covering with egg and breadcrumbs.
  6. 6Fry the chicken until golden brown. Drain the chicken on paper towel. Serve with ketchup or barbecue sauce.
