Whether or not you are looking for an extra boost of antioxidants or just a refreshing change of pace from other fruity drinks, this crimson slush is sure to please. To extract pomegranate seeds, cut the fruit into quarters and then soak in cold water until the seeds are loose enough to scrape off. The drink is delicious as is, but even better when spiked with vodka (or gin) for cocktail hour.
- 1/2 pomegranate
- 120 milliliters red currants
- ice (chopped, to taste)
- Fill glasses with the crushed ice, then add the pomegranate seeds.
- Add the redcurrants to taste.
- To make it alcoholic, adults can add a little vodka.
