  • 10 plums (small)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter (chopped)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Halve the plums; remove pits. Slice the plums; place in a large bowl. Add the granulated sugar; toss until the plums are well coated. Let stand for 10 mins.
  3. Meanwhile, combine brown sugar, flour and coconut in a bowl; rub in the butter.
  4. Stir the plums again to ensure they are well coated. Spoon into six 2/3-cup ramekins or a 1-quart baking dish. Top the plums with the crumble mixture. Place dishes on a baking pan.
  5. Bake for about 30 mins or until golden and the juices are bubbling over the side. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
