  • 1 package smoked sausage (Lit'l Smokies®)
  • 2 packages refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 ounces each)

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Separate each package of crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
    2. Place 1 sausage on the wide end of triangle and roll towards the point. Place wrapped sausage point side down on baking sheet. Repeat with remaining sausages. Bake 9-10 minutes until golden brown. Serve with ketchup and mustard if desired.

    First time making piggies in a blanket. turned out yummy. Red Chili jam enhanced the crescent dough. The package of sausages ran out before the crescent dough could be used, so I added the Red Chili jam and wrapped it with dough. If you want crystallized Red Chili candy, spread it out on the parchment paper and let it bake with the pigs in a blanket. 🐷🥐🌶️

    I usually am not a huge fan of pigs in the blanket but I wanted to try these. I am very glad I did. They are very simple to make, only require two ingredients, and were delicious.

    They were great, I used precooked brats, sliced in half, instead of little smokies. I ended up having to bake them for 20 minutes though, flipping halfway through.
