Ended up mushy. The risked was still too firm after 15 minutes. I followed the additional instructions and it ended up mushy. Not sure what happened.

I rinsed the rice in a colander under running cold water until it ran clear. That's all I did differently.
The rice came out perfect. Such an easy recipe to make, so now I can make it all the time without worrying that it will fail.

It's white and tastes like rice. What Alfie likes about it are the proportions, which give it a firmer texture, not all mushy from using too much water. Alfie approved!
