300 grams water
300 grams sugar
3 star anise
2 vanilla pods
1 teaspoon cinnamon
6 pears


1Pour the water and sugar in a large saucepan. Add the star anise, vanilla pods, and cinnamon. Simmer for 10 minutes or until it becomes a syrup.
2Wash and peel pears. Cut them in half lengthwise.
3Place the pears in the syrup and let them cook 15 to 30 minutes.
4Remove from the pan and serve warm.
