Description

Fluffy and light, these Pear and Cranberry Muffins are full of fruity winter flavors. Diced pears are suspended throughout these scrumptious muffins with a hidden layer of cranberry jam in the middle. The combination of sweet and tart in these wintry muffins is masterful. Garnish these muffins with a dusting of powdered sugar to create the illusion of freshly fallen snow. You can substitute the cranberry jam for another jam if you prefer another flavor.

Ingredients

200 grams white flour
1 package yeast
200 grams cream quark
100 grams sugar
100 grams butter (melted)
2 pears (medium-sized, peeled and sliced into small pieces)
2 eggs
150 grams cranberry jam
powdered sugar (for garnish)

Directions

1Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2Mix the white flour with the yeast in a large bowl.
3Mix the eggs, Quark cheese, sugar, and butter, and add it to the large bowl.
4Add the small pear pieces to the bowl and mix.
5Fill the muffin molds half-full, spread the cranberry jam on top, and cover with the remaining dough.
6Bake for 25 minutes.
7Remove from the oven, let them cool off completely, sprinkle the powdered sugar on top, and serve.
