Description

These low calorie pastry puffs are simply a fancy version of the classic snack combination of apples and peanut butter. With an added crunch from honey roasted peanuts, these pastry puffs are just the right amount of sweet and salty. Make your own puff pastry of purchase it premade.

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry (rectangular LIDL)
  • 4 tablespoons peanut butter (softened)
  • 2 apples (rennet, depending on size)
  • 80 grams peanuts (with honey)

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2Line a baking tray with non-stick mat, or parchment paper. Set aside.
  3. 3In a food processor coarsely chop the apple. Set aside.
  4. 4Then chop the peanuts. Set aside.
  5. 5Spread out the puff pastry gently to avoid tearing.
  6. 6Spread peanut butter across the surface of the pastry.
  7. 7Spread apple and peanuts evenly across the pastry.
  8. 8Roll up like a roll cake, and stick end of the dough to the roll with a little water.
  9. 9Cut into 2 centimeter slices, and place on baking tray. Squeeze the roll slightly so they don't open while baking.
  10. 10Bake until golden.
