Description

Is there a pair of foods that go together better than peanut butter and chocolate? These peanut butter cookies with dark chocolate are no exception and are perfect with a glass of cold milk. If you don't want to bake all the dough at once, you can freeze it in balls then bake it as needed for a quick treat.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams butter (softened)
  • 120 grams peanut butter (smooth or crunchy, this is according to your taste!)
  • 1 eggs
  • 180 grams brown sugar
  • 200 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 80 grams chocolate chunks (dark)

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. 2In a large bowl, mix the butter and the peanut butter with an electric mixer until the mixture is creamy.
  3. 3Stir in the egg and the brown sugar with a spatula.
  4. 4In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and baking soda.
  5. 5Add the dry ingredients to the butter / egg mixture. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  6. 6Mix the chocolate chunks to the dough.
  7. 7Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. 8Form balls of dough about the size of a walnut. Place them on baking sheet, flattening them a bit and making sure to leave enough space between them.
  9. 9Bake for about 10 minutes.
  10. 10Once out from the oven, place the cookies on a wire rack to cool.
